Data Deletion Instructions

You have the right to request deletion of all data that AdLevel has collected from your Facebook/Meta ad accounts. We take your privacy seriously and make data deletion straightforward.
How to Delete Your Data
You can request data deletion using any of the following methods:
Option 1: Delete Your Account in AdLevel
The fastest path. Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete account and confirm. This revokes your Meta access tokens, removes your stored data, and deletes your AdLevel account.
Option 2: Remove the App from Facebook
- Go to your Facebook Settings → Business Integrations
- Find “AdLevel” in the list of active apps
- Click “Remove” and confirm
Removing the app revokes AdLevel's API access and disconnects your ad account data. To delete the data we already hold, also select Meta's data-deletion option during removal: Meta then sends a signed deletion request to our deletion callback, which queues full deletion and returns a confirmation code with a status link (see “Tracking Your Deletion” below). Alternatively, use Option 1 or Option 3.
Option 3: Email Us Directly
Send an email to support@adlevel.ai with the subject line “AdLevel Data Deletion Request” and include:
- Your name
- The email address associated with your AdLevel account
- Your Facebook User ID (if known)
- The ad account IDs you want data deleted for (or “all accounts”)
Our support team will process your request and confirm by reply.
What Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, we permanently remove:
- Your encrypted Meta access tokens and your Meta user ID. We never hold your Facebook name, email, or profile picture: AdLevel does not request the Facebook Login scopes that share them (see our Privacy Policy, §1.2).
- All ad account data (campaigns, ad sets, ads, performance metrics)
- Targeting parameters and campaign settings synced from Meta
- All business and Page information, pixel IDs, and lead-form metadata
- All stored analytics, reports, and historical performance data
- Your Athena chat history, agent action history, uploaded images, and support tickets
- Account profile, preferences, push tokens, and your sign-in record
What We May Retain
In limited circumstances, we may retain certain data as required by law:
- Billing records: Transaction history and invoices, retained in anonymized form as required for tax and accounting compliance (typically 7 years)
- Legal compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements
- Anonymized/aggregated data: Data that has been fully anonymized and cannot be linked back to you or your Facebook account
Deletion Timeline
Day 0
Deletion request received. API access is revoked immediately and deletion is queued.
Within 30 days
All identifiable data is deleted from primary databases and systems. In practice this usually completes within minutes.
Within approximately 35 days
Residual copies in encrypted backups expire as the rolling backup retention window (point-in-time recovery) rotates out.
Tracking Your Deletion
Deletion requests that arrive through Meta's callback receive a confirmation code and a status URL of the form adlevel.ai/deletion/status/<code>, where you can check progress at any time (received, in progress, or complete). For in-app deletion, your account and data are removed as part of the deletion flow itself. For email requests, our support team confirms by reply.
Important Notes
- Your ads keep running: Removing AdLevel does NOT automatically pause or delete your Facebook/Meta ad campaigns. Your campaigns will continue running under your direct control in Meta Ads Manager. You are responsible for managing or pausing campaigns independently.
- Deletion is permanent: Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you reconnect AdLevel in the future, you will start with a fresh account.
- Data on Facebook's servers: We can only delete data stored on our systems. Data on Meta/Facebook's servers is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
